Date: April 2015 - March 2019

Group: All ages and abilities

Description: Every second Saturday of the month, St Mary's Old Church in Stoke Newington, would open its doors to the local community, providing an opportunity for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to come together and to engage with the arts in a relaxed, welcoming and enchanting environment - it's the only surviving Elizabethan church in London, dating back to 1563!

I worked on this project for four years, using inspiration from both traditional and contemporary art forms to design workshops that will appeal to and be accessible for all. Sessions included batik, stencilling, recycling arts, printing, textiles, alternative drawing and portraiture.

Feedback: ‘I see you as absolutely core to what we have achieved so far, and I hope you will stay closely involved, as I will, and keep helping make TOC a centre of inspiring arts and community.’ - Rachel Milwald, (previous) Director.
