May-September 2025

I led a new group for the charity Arts for Dementia at SET Social, an artist collective based in Peckham. The project centred on collage and drawing, with each session introducing participants to new techniques and approaches. In the final two weeks, these experiments were brought together in a series of assemblages, allowing participants to develop and reflect on the work they had created throughout the course.

As this was a newly formed group, none of the participants had met before. Alongside the creative activities, we placed a strong emphasis on conversation, warm-up exercises, and collaborative tasks that encouraged participants to get to know one another and build confidence within the group.

Feedback:

“A huge thank you to you for delivering our first SET Social programme. You had a particular challenge with it being a completely new Arts for Dementia programme, with new participants and venue. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job and helping to make it such a success for our participants. It was so lovely to hear how the group gelled and grew together, gaining confidence over the course of the programme. I know the whole team really appreciated all your patience, hard work and thoughtful guidance”
